I wanted to take a few minutes to let you know that I have been a fan ever since I listened to "Pretty Blue World" many years ago. I recall seeing John Bon Jovi on a show and him mentioning his friend, you, and you sang Power Windows I believe. However it went I fell in love with your music, your voice, and was struck by the fact that you were raising your little girl. I heard her voice on the one song and it struck a nerve so deep I will never forget it. That CD is my all time favorite for so many reasons and on so many levels. You did a fantastic job as a Dad. Rose, my middle name, is beautiful, talented, smart, and you can see how much she loves her Dad!

Take care,

Cindy

Thanks Billy ..The "Gods for Me" song and story were really reassuring to me .I have been being sued by some Turks that had rented my Gas Station from my family which has owned and operated it since 68. Somehow they had illegally subleased it and extorted money from other individuals and then sued me for a cool Million for a baseless claim against me . I have lost about $ 150,000 since 2006 due to the delays they were able to create and that's not counting the $30,000 in Legal fees
Trial is the 21st of this month and I hope they also get what they deserve ....The song was an Inspiration Jim

Billy,

I've been a fan of your music for quite a few years. First time I heard power windows I thought it was a pretty good song. I was in high school and in the middle of my rock days so nothing cool that made the radio. I happened to win the Pretty Blue World CD of yours at a turkey bowling contest put on by 92zew here in mobile. I listened to that CD and was instantly grabbed. There were some songs on there that touched me at the time. Pretty Blue World, Heaven's Highest Hill, Oh Boy, and Not Funny Anymore in particular. Shortly after being introduced to your music I came across the story of your wife dying of cancer and how things in your life were bad, you were pretty beat up. Somehow you and Jon Bon Jovi crossed paths and that CD became a reality. That made all of your songs more poignant and real after hearing the story. I was a huge fan of Bon Jovi on top of that. My dad was dying of cancer at the time so your story and music really hit home with me. Those times and your music are a part of me forever. I just listened through Heaven's Highest Hill again for the first time since having children. With tears in my eyes and putting myself in that situation in the song, you're getting an email from me. I still identify and feel the emotions. They are just new and from the father's point of view now. Kind of cool. I guess things are now full circle so to speak. So, today, I randomly happen across your website some 15+ years later to tell you, thank you. I appreciate you.

Sincerely,

Mike Brown

Hi,Billy;
I'm so glad to see that you have a new album coming out. I love your music. But, I have been looking everywhere for one from several years back, I think it was called "Nothing on But The Radio". But everytime I try to pull it up I get Gary Allen. I know that's not it. It's not near as sexy as yours. Am I looking for the wrong title?
Keep up the great work....Ann

Hi Billy!
It was nice to talk to you last night and your front page letter is just great! I
hope you get many responses to it. I'm so excited that you'll have a new record
soon! You already know most of my story and you are welcome to use it. It's hard to
choose a favorite song of yours. They're all so great! In fact, I dare you to write
a bad song!
I'm wanting "She Won't Let Me Go" on a record! But I love "Sugar" for my favorite
fun song and for love song it's definitely "Brick Off A Bridge". One of the best
lyrics I think I've ever heard: "To float like a dancer, high over the cancer of
being alone" - because being alone IS a cancer, of it's own kind. I hope someday to
float like a dancer. Being alone just sucks! But anyway that is the most beautiful
song. And "Pretty Blue World" is perfect for the pretty cruel world. But you're
right "God's for us, we'll be Okay"
Take care and see you next week!
Songs & Smiles!

Billy,

Your new website has everything a website should have. Very well done...maybe you can help me with mine! I think all of your songs are unique in that they just stand up to the test of time. They would have meant as much to people a 100 years ago, as they do to me today, as they will a 100 years from now. People will always be able to relate to the ideas and emotions they feel from your songs past, present, or in the future because we are all more alike than we'll ever be different. The first time I heard She Won't Let Me Go I thought that could be a hit. Then the fisrt time I saw you guys perform it, I know that is going to be a hit! Just another great song that will always stand up with the rest!!!

Looking forward to the new CD,

TIM (Troy's Brother)

Billy, I've had a few of your CDs since I discovered your music in 1990. Your Pretty Blue World album is such a fabulous piece of work. I truly think you're John Cougar's equal. My wife and I are both 43 and I just played your CD to her after it being packed away for a few years and she loved it. All that to simply say that you make great music...I also think your music speaks to so many people. Since being re-engernized by your energy (playing your CD again), I have decided to go out and purchase some of your recent work. Thanks again, David

Hey Billy, don't know what to say so I'll start writing & let my fingers figure this out.I love your cynical yet serious outtake on life . I try to live very similar .I believe I was born to be a musician, unfortunately God forgot to give me any musical skills.I too am very religious & am bringing my 4 children up that way.Couple of summers ago we went to your brother John's house.A day that I won't soon forget. My how filthy his house was! Just kidding ,of course.Something I love about simple down & dirty : Man,Guitar, maybe Harmonica. But would love to see you in New York area w/a band.I am a sucker for" boy meets girl & the adventure begins" types of song {Sailor Boy}. But even a mellow Box of Chocolates hits home. There are Web sites that fans put out entire live shows of artists{old ones & new}.I'm told that there is no Copywrite infringement. They only put out stuff that artists haven't tried to sell themselves. I would think that that would be another way to re-introduce yourself to old fans who may have forgotten. It's pretty common & I'm always looking to see if John would ever put some of your live stuff there.I know there's Youtube but this may be another possibility.Anyway, whatever musical direction you go -you can be sure you have another lifelong lunatic fan here.Sometimes I find it hard to imagine how other people just don't get it.Keep the music coming & hope to see you & Rose over the summer.Your friend in song, Tom

Am I interested???? Are you kidding me?

I am 43 and my brother who is five years older turned me on to his extensive music collection in the 1970's. There was this great album by this guy that I never heard of called Burning Rose. I listened to it a lot back then and then I never heard much from "that guy" agian. But that damn line "I wanna girl like Shirley Temple, I wanna woman like Faye Dunaway" just stayed in my head like a commercial jingle for 30 years.

About five years back I asked my brother whatever happened to that Shirley Temple guy?. And then he turned me on to everything you had done since. Man what a catalogue. All of your stuff is jammed on my I-Pod.

I can't describe what it is about your music. There is a quiet, raw sincerity that screams out from lines in many songs - Lovebirds, 98 to Alabama, Mr. Smith - "the earth is cracked and bleeding... Wonder Years, Breathe, Coffee, and any other one that the kids are dancing to during our Friday Night Dance Parties.

So now the 64 million dollar question - why don't you play more in the Northeast? Why don't you "leak" some of your old concerts to download sites like DimeaDozen. Just a little bit more access so that more guys like me with that Shirley Temple thing in the back of their head will become revived fans and bring along their wives and kids for the ride.

My wife and I caught you at the handful of acoustic shows you played in Long Island, NJ over the last 5 years - (did I say a handful, I meant almost none.) It was a very similar expereince for me to seeing Springsteen play acoustic. Just a guy with his axe and a story to tell. You are one of the best.

Thank you for the inspirational catalogue. Oh yeah, if I wasn't clear, it would be really great if you could PLAY SOME SHOWS IN NY, NJ on a regular basis.

I began listening to your music right after "Power Windows" was released, but that was not the song that drew me to your music. I was driving to work one afternoon and you were being interviewed by a local DJ prior to a free concert you were going to perform at Union Station in St Louis and he ask you to say something about the song he was about to play. You began to describe the reason you wrote "Heaven Highest Hill" and I was moved and then he played the song and I had to pull over to the side of the road because I was crying like a baby. My daughter was about 4 years old and I couldn't imagine the strength you must have had to write the song. There was a music store next to the bar I worked at and I went in and bought the cd before I went in to work that night and popped it into the cd player right away. Whenever I would introduce your music to anyone I would tell them this story and play it for them, it still effects me to this day. I've always wanted to see you perform live and maybe be able to tell you this story.

Hi, Mr. Billy Falcon, first of all, i`m very glad for the new album,i can`t wait to have it . About the song God`s for me ,actually i love both versions but i preefer the one you send me with the acoustic guitar intro. What i like the most of your music is your voice, the way you sing especialy in the songs like die twice,oh boy, cold hard world, adios, made man ,still got a prayer etc.I also love the horns you used [in the youtube videos] of she won`t let me go and sugar i think makes that songs much better . Of course the lyrics of your songs are absolutely great. The next stream you do i try to invite as much people i can to see you. One of your faithful fans. Constantinos

February 19, 2009

I met Billy Falcon in February of 1979 when the band was living out in the Hamptons on Long Island.

I had a great time for years with the band and got to know Myla. She was a beautiful soul.

I ended up marrying Gene Boccia the bass player from the band back then.

We are no longer married but are still the best of friends.

So hello to Billy Falcon, Wayne, Billy M., Michael V. I'm sorry if I left anyone out.

Billy, your daughter Rose is as beautiful as her mother was and as talented as you are. I am sure you are proud.

Well, the old band, Billy Falcon's Burning Rose, has surfaced at Wolfgang's Concert Vault.

The URL is http://concerts.wolfgangsvault.com/dt/billy-falcon-concert/20050140-696.html

The fellow from Boston who came to see Kinetic Element at ProgDay last August, and who asked me to autograph the BFBR debut album, sent me an e-mail telling me that the Billy Falcon's Burning Rose show at The Bottom Line in1978 has been posted on the Vault. In order to hear it you have to join the website. I think this is so cool. We sure must have been on some kind of high that night becuse we were playing at the speed of light LOL!
Best regards.

I just wanted to drop a little note to say that I have been a fan of yours since 1991 that is when my husband and I first heard your song. One night we were listening to the radio [93.3WMMR in Philadelphia, PA] I heard this song and I was very intrigued so I called the radio station to find out about it, well the song is "Power Windows" I was so taken by this song. Our names are Louis and Grace and back in the late '80's we drove a beat up '69 Dodge Dart. I truly enjoy your music and I just wanted to express that to and that you touch our hearts.

Sincerely,

I'm listening to "Letters from a Paper Ship" and had to get up to google you, just one more time to see if I can find you on the web...and found your site! I'm so psyched! I've been a fan since "Power Windows." I'm drawn to your raw and brutally honest writing style. I've made several friends into fans, and whenmy husband and I were married, we played "Two Lovebirds" during the ceremony and included the lyrics in the programs, That song perfectly describesso many aspects of how we want to live and to be as two lovebirds faced with the harsh realities in life. Thank you for the music. Peace, Niki

I received an email from your service this morning offering a Free Download for "Power Windows."

I went to your website and just saw your YouTube video from your 2006 performance at The Bitter End!

Seeing you brought back an avalanche of positive memories ....

from fellowshipping to pushing dollies on moving jobs to Spark in the Dark.

It was great to see Rose on the Bitter End video also ... man time does go by quickly ... she's beautiful and I saw both you and Myla in her face.

I like what you said at The Bitter End, I'm a Christian, I'm not religious, but I believe!

Amen!

I really can't leave NJ now, my family comes first, but I want these songs to be hits, I really think they are great songs, and you are a big influence. Please tell me what steps to take, to get them out there, but to stay in New Jersey. Thanks!

Please bear with me here. This weekend past, my band Kinetic Element opened the ProgDay Festival Preshow in Chapel Hill NC on Friday Aug.29. On Saturday we had a vendor table and a person came up to me to ask for my autograph on a perfectly preserved vinyl copy of the Billy Falcon's Burning Rose album. He had driven from Boston to Chapel Hill specifically to see Kinetic Element and meet me to get this autograph. He told me he loved Billy Falcon music and although he's a prog fan he also loves Americana. I was able to tell him that Billy is still doing his thing and where to find Billy online. It was a very meaningful moment that someone remembered BFBR and somehow knew it was the same keyboard player 30 years later. Later that afternnon another person came up with a copy of Letters From A Paper Ship on cassette tape and had me autograph that cover in spite of my protests that I was not on that album. He had driven from Maryland to see KE and get this autograph. He wondered if the old band would ever play together again. Perhaps he will come here to ask. It really is amazing how people remember the old band so profoundly. God bless you, everybody!

The new cd is great. The whole family loves Billy. We saw the show @ the S Plainfield Knights of Columbus. My 2 daughters 15 & 18 at the time talked to Billy, what a great guy! They love Rosie now too. I caught the Wonder Bar show with my wife and son, it was hysterical and rocked as well. I hope Billy and Rose are coming back to the NY area this summer. Get some dates up there please! I would even drive all the way to Johns house again if we have to.

Wow, I am so glad I re-discovered Billy Falcon and now to hear Rose sing too is great. Was introduced to you back in Rosedale days by Billy Milne, Wayne Tarus and Billy Swiatkowski. Had an autograghed copy of Burnin' Rose and Pretty Blue World. Lost both in a hurricane here in Florida. I was looking for a song for my page and found you and then Rose and I added her Summertime song to my page. Will be purchasing Made Man next. I hope to make it to Nashville one day and see you guys live. Until then I'll check your calendar and see if Daytona Beach is on your agenda. Last time I saw you play was in Tampa in early 90's. Great Show. I remember all the Rosedale people I met there. We are everywhere ain't we? LOL

Dear Billy,

Thank you for the music on Pretty Blue World. You capture the essence of life and family on that CD.

When that CD came out, I saw you, in all places, around Irvington, NJ and the show was wonderful.

Just last year, my son, now 14, was diagnosed with a brain tumor. It was a hard year, following brain surgery, but he is doing great. Songs like, still got a prayer and heaven's highest hill capture the hope and triumph of the body and spirit . You are a success by having that one album.

I just bought a couple of other albums, two by Rose, and look forward to hearing them.

Be well,

Julius Spada

Unlike most of your fans, I have a copy of "Spark in the Dark." Can you re-release it, or are the rights tangled? I know it isn't very commercial, but it is great music.

Billy,
It's been a lifetime ago, I believe the Summer of 91 or 92. I was head instructor at a cheerleading camp at Kent State University in Kent, Ohio. You and the band were warming up for your concert that night with Stevie Nicks. I approachecd you and told you about the 500 cheerleaders I was doing a camp for and without hesitation you and the band packed up and came over to the dorm area and put on about a 45 min. set that I don't think I will ever forget. I just walked through our warehouse and heard some guy singing, I believe they said his name was Jack Johnson, point is, his voice triggered a memory of that day and it gave me goose bumps to retell my story to the guys in the warehouse. I know I bought Pretty Blue World back then and played it daily, well I'm heading to the store and buying Made Man & a new PBW this weekend, thanks for the memories! CP

Hey Billy

I was introduced to you by Desmond Child when I was a staff writer at Sony Tree in Nashville.
I live here in Niagara Falls , Ontario and we wrote "Run To Me' and it looks like I'll be putting that tune on my next CD.
By the way , I'm performing with a couple of guys that you might know , we're doing a songwriters in the round show for "Light Of Day " here in Niagara and Joe D'Urso , Willie Nile and maybe Joe Greshuky and also my good friend Ron Sexsmith is on the show.
I'll be heading back down tro Nashville soon to hook with Monty Powell to do some songwriting .
it would be great to write a couple of songs.
Cheers Rick Rose

1970's or so, going through the used bin at Titus Oaks in Brooklyn. I always passed on Buring Rose. 20 years later I find Power Windows, man I wish I would have picked up some of that Buring Rose stuff back in the day. Music ROCKS.
